Training and appraisal performance of staff in the hotel industry

Abstract

The purpose of this study is the staff training in the tourism industry. Initially there is an introduction that concerns the tourism sector in Greece in general and its contribution to the economy. The study consists of five chapters. The first refers to the importance of the training of staff in hotels, the methods used and the way in which they are implemented. The second chapter deals with staff evaluation, its importance and the ways in which it is carried out. The third chapter refers to other research and its results. The fourth explains how the investigation was conducted. This is a quantitative survey with a questionnaire by means of a nineteen (19) questions. The fifth chapter is the analytical presentation of the results through graphs for each question individually and given the conclusions of the investigation.
