Στο εργαστηριακό μέρος θα γίνει καταγραφή επίδοσης του εκπεμπόμενου σήματος κάνοντας ανάλυση φάσματος, μετρώντας το πλάτος διανυσματικού σφάλματος (EVM – Error Vector Magnitude), το ACLR (Adjacent Channel Leakage Ratio), το Occupied Bandwidth (OBW), το PAPR (Peak to Average Power Ratio) και τη συμπληρωματική αθροιστική συνάρτηση κατανομής (CCDF – Complementary Cumulative Distribution Function) για δύο φορείς (carriers), για τέσσερις φορείς και στη συνέχεια θα μετρηθεί το EVM έχοντας προσθέσει Λευκό Γκαουσιανό Θόρυβο (Additive White Gaussian Noise – AWGN).
In the current thesis we will study the downlink of a LTE TDD signal with the use of the signal analyzer N9010A ΕΧΑ of the Agilent Company. There are two aspects in this project, the theoretical one and the laboratory measurements. The theoretical aspect of the project includes the study of the specifications of the physical layer of the LTE TDD Downlink system as well as the theoretical study of the OFDM modulation / demodulation of the LTE based on the standards of 3GPP (3GPP TS 36213 v.880 Physical Layer procedures and 3GPP TS 36211 v.890 Physical Channels and Modulation).
In the laboratory part there is going to be a recording of the performance of the transmitted signal via spectrum analysis, measuring the EVM (Error Vector Magnitude), the ACLR (Adjacent Channel Leakage Ratio), the Occupied Bandwidth (OBW), the PAPR (Peak to Average Power Ratio) and the CCDF (Complementary Cumulative Distribution Function) also for two and four carriers and after that there will be a measurement of the EVM with Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN).
This thesis consists of five chapters. In the first chapter there is an introduction to all generations of mobile telephone networks. In the second one there is a report on the goals, the characteristics and the functions of the LTE and after that, there is an analysis of the physical layer of the system. The next chapter includes an explanation of the FDD and TDD that LTE uses. The fourth and the last chapter of the theoretical part includes the OFDM modulation technique which is used with multiple antennas systems (SISO, SIMO, MISO, MIMO) which are also discussed in the final chapter.
