dc.description.abstract |
The objective of this diploma thesis is the localization and obstacle avoidance of an autonomous robotic platform based on dead reckoning and range data.
For the obstacle avoidance this diploma thesis emphasizes on the data measurements from an ultrasonic sensor, on the kinematics of the autonomous robot, how the velocities in the servo motors are produced, so the robot can roam and steer and on the Vector Field Histogram, an obstacle avoidance algorithm.
For the Localization of the robot this diploma thesis emphasizes in the optical encoders of the autonomous robotic platform and how can we estimate the robot’s pose based on dead reckoning algorithm. |
