Στο πλαίσιο της παρούσας πτυχιακής εργασίας γίνεται μελέτη και ανάλυση
των third party logistics εταιριών στον Ελλαδικό αλλά και Ευρωπαϊκό χώρο. Αυτό
επιτυγχάνεται μέσα από μια θεωρητική ανάλυση του θέματος ξεκινώντας από την
ανάλυση των εννοιών logistics, logistics management, thid party logistics και four
party logistics μελετώντας Ελληνική και ξένη βιβλιογραφία. Η έρευνα είναι
πρωτογενής και συγκεκριμένα ποσοτική και διεξάχθηκε με τη χρήση δομημένου
ερωτηματολογίου κλειστού τύπου σε 60 διαφορετικές εταιρίες με σελίδα στο
διαδίκτυο. Σκοπός της παρούσας έρευνας είναι η αξιολόγηση των παρεχόμενων
υπηρεσιών των εταιρειών 3PL. Η έρευνα επικεντρώνεται στις εταιρείες 3PL που
έχουν διαδικτυακή παρουσία και οι στόχοι της, είναι κατά κύρια βάση δύο. Κατά
πρώτον, εξετάζεται το εύρος των υπηρεσιών logistics που παρέχουν και στη συνέχεια
ερευνάται η χρήση πρακτικών και τεχνολογιών του διαδικτύου για την υποστήριξη
των λειτουργιών του πρώτου στόχου. Κύριος στόχος της παρούσας πτυχιακής
εργασίας, είναι η κατανόηση των όρων Logistics, Outsourcing και Third Party
Logistics στα πλαίσια της ανάθεσης διαδικασιών καθώς και των χαρακτηριστικών
που τις διέπουν.
This study investigates the extent to which the Greek Third-Party Logistics (3PL’s)
companies use the Internet in order to provide information and on-line services to
their customers. It is based on the findings of a survey that examined the web
presence of 3PL companies in Greece. Therefore, the web sites of these companies
were contacted and evaluated against a specific questionnaire that consists of two
main categories of questions: the scope of logistics services which 3PL’s provide, and
the Internet practices and technologies that the examined companied use in order to
support the identified logistics services. The findings of the above survey reveal the
effort that 3PL companies in Greece have applied in order to effectively and
efficiently support their provided services via the Internet. Furthermore support the
belief the adaptation and application of the Internet best practices and innovative
technologies comes out to be beneficial for all the parties involved in the examined
business sector.
