Αεροσυμπιεστές: αρχές λειτουργίας, εφαρμογές και συντήρησή τους

Abstract

Σκοπός της παρούσας πτυχιακής εργασίας είναι η μελέτη και παρουσίαση της αρχής λειτουργίας των αεροσυμπιεστών, των εφαρμογών τους, καθώς και της συντήρησής τους. Στα πλαίσια της εργασίας θα πραγματοποιηθεί η αναλυτική παρουσίαση των ειδών των αεροσυμπιεστών και των μερών ενός τυπικού αεροσυμπιεστή. Θα αναλυθεί η αρχή λειτουργίας τους και θα παρουσιαστούν οι μέθοδοι και οι τεχνικές συντήρησής τους.

This dissertation is concerned with the presentation of air compressors, their types and their mode of operation. At first, the principle of operation of an air compressor is presented followed by a few examples, so that the reader can understand its operation. The way air compressors are classified into certain categories is presented and the rotary air compressors are thoroughly described by means of two pictures. In the course of time, the installation of air compressors on board ships has become a necessity as far as main propulsion units are concerned and this necessity results from the development of internal combustion engines. Reference is also made to the way air compressors can evolve and the uses they can be put to on board. An analysis of air compressors types as well as of their mode of operation is provided along with their advantages and disadvantages. A general description is also given of the way each type of air compressors operates. In conclusion, the different parts comprising the reciprocating air compressors are described and the principle of operation of each one of them is analyzed.
